Continuing Medical Education Program for Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology

published online 16 December 2005.

Article Outline

Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology will have a section devoted to Continuing Medical Education (CME) beginning with the January 2006 issue. The exercise will include multiple-choice questions based on 2 articles published in that issue of the journal. Papers are selected based on presentation of new information and relevance to clinical practice. The program is designed for physicians who participate in the care of patients with a wide variety of gastroenterologic and liver diseases. The purpose of the exercise is to allow participants the opportunity to show their understanding of the most important messages of the articles. Knowledge of the answers to these specific questions should help in the evaluation and appropriate therapy of patients with the particular condition.

The American Gastroenterology Association designates each Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology CME program for a maximum of 1 hour of Category 1 credit toward the American Medical Association Physicians Recognition Award. The American Gastroenterology Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.
